another year
Jan. 1st, 2003 03:52 pmWell... I couldn't resist the temptation to post on the first day of 2003.
Wow 2002 went by quickly! I hope they don't all speed by like that. But I have a feeling they will. I spoke to a 90+ year old lady (a real sweetie) some time back and remarked to her how quickly time flits past. She replied something like "Wait till you get to my age; it really speeds up."
I guess it is only natural. When you are 5 one year feels like it is such a long time because it is a fifth of your life so far. Also perhaps you are learning so much that every day is populated with vast amounts of new information. Aging slows us and time appears correspondingly faster. A cruel trick.
Maybe the middle of our lives is, in a very real sense, when we are in our teens.
Make the most of 2003.
I will try.
