How weak must men be in some countries, that they can feel threatened by a couple of women who are collecting signatures for equality. Is male supremacy really so shaky? Are they so convinced that inequality is indefensible that they must resort to dirty tricks? Yes. I think that's what it means.
The only way men can be strong is with women standing shoulder to shoulder with them. That goes for women too. Disadvantage half of the population and you have only half a nation. No wonder such countries lag so badly.
Two women's rights activists in Iran, Fatemeh Masjedi and Maryan Bidgoli are in danger of being imprisoned for collecting signatures to change discriminatory laws against women under Iranian law. So I've signed a petition demanding an end to intimidation and harrasment of women's rights activists in Iran.
