homophobia rising to fever pitch in Brazil

Brazil is becoming one of the most dangerous places on Earth to be LGBT. About 250 murders of LGBT last year there. The homophobia is being promoted by religious conservatives there and is ripping through their society with violent results. Once such hate gets out of control it becomes like a fire and won't just stop at LGBT people; next they will target a different minority, then next another, then another, then another...

President Dilma Rousseff has said that human rights are at the “center of her politics”. She needs to live up to that and work to prevent hate consuming her country.
