trying to find a lost story...

When I was very, very young fell in love with a poignant story I read about a fairy who envied humans. She folded her wings behind her under her clothes and stretched out her toes so that they touched the ground (fairies normally couldn't touch the earth). At long last she could appear to be a normal girl, albeit one who walked tippy-toe, but it allowed her to walk among and befriend human girls.

That is all I remember of the story. Does anybody know of it? What is its name? Who is its author?

Oh, I wasn't considering comitting suicide. Everyone took it the wrong way.
What I was saying was that if something were to happen, God forbid, I really wouldn't miss all this.
I'm not considering anything like that.

Thank you though.

And do you have AIM or MSN messenger or anything of the sort? I'm dying to speak to you off of LJ.

:) I am relieved.

I do have yahoo messenger and icq, but I avoid using them, except in emergencies, as they can gobble up so damn much of my day.

Other than telephone, email is generally the best way to contact me directly. :)
