Hi, I'm new here. I'm a long-time resident at LiveJournal who came here to see what it is like. I'm attracted by the fact that the majority of developers are women. Of course the majority of users are women, which I believe is the case on pretty-much all blogging sites.

Thanks to Mackenzie Morgan who gave me an invite code so that I can test fly this, and thanks to the Dreamwidth people who created the site. I'm also grateful to Brad Fitzpatrick for starting LiveJournal and making it open-source, because Dreamwidth is a fork of that cool code.

My first post at LiveJournal was 13th July 2002.
