Actually, I suspect a lot of otherwise intelligent people leave their mobile phones switched on at the fuel pump. All it takes is for someone to call you at the wrong time and blammy! You wouldn't even need to answer. You will have heard that dialog that mobile phones go thru with the cell-station when a call is about to be received. You can hear it on a nearby radio or on a land-line phone. Brrrptity-brrpititity tk tk tk!

I am incredibly forgetful. I wonder if I would remember to turn it off when at the pump. I hope I would, but...
