Berg decapitation video a fake

patchworkkid recently asked if "normal" media sources have analysed the possibility of the Berg decapitation video being a fake. In my reply I mistakenly thought he meant that Berg wasn't really decapitated. Now I know what he meant.

It looks like the video was created to enhance hatred of the Muslims and divert attention from Western mistreatment of prisoners. Another dirty deed that will blow up in the faces of the perpetrators.

At least it is reassuring that the bad guys are so damn stupid.

Good Lord! I remember someone protesting, I think it was a relative, that Berg was in US custody, seeking help to get home. The US military said he wouldn't accept help and took off. That didn't add up at all to me. It was like one minute he's in US custody and the next minute he is being beheaded by Iraqis for no apparent reason with no plausible explanation of how he got from one situation to the other.

And, now that they mention it, that orange jump suit is completely out of place. I have never seen any terrorists put their captives in orange jump suits anywhere in the world. It wouldn't even make sense for them to do that. Where would they even get a standard prison jumpsuit?

I'm just so god damn grateful it isn't a real one. It really made me quite sick for a while there. I read the first analysis of the fraud suspicions some days ago and felt such relief.
They sure are bastards though...

you're kidding right? You took that article serously? Did you read it? Calling CNN conservitive and using the term "pro zionist" alone are reasons not to trust the source. When this is reported in the new york times or similar respected news source I'll believe it as it is not it qualifies as internet tinfiol hat nutcase ranting.

For the record I did not support and in fact protested the war in Iraq, I'm appauled by the torture of prisoners by US troops and I'd be happy to see George Bush put on trial for crimes against peace but that article gives no more reason to think the viedo was faked then there's reason to think there's an alien spacecraft at area 51 or the moon landings were faked.
