I've started working out the plot and characters to my NaNoWriMo story. Last night saw quite a bit of development on that front.

I'm not sure if I should post my story here or wait till it is done and provide a link at the end.
Anybody got any thoughts on that?

If I post the parts maybe some people will read it as I go and offer encouragement. On the other hand I seriously doubt anybody follows my LJ regularly. If some do they would be unlikely to have the time to read the story. The subject matter alone is likely to turn many off.

The story will be a romance (that sound was all the guys running away) science fiction (there go most of the girls, exiting too). The central relationship will be between a woman and her android who is also female. (A few people trickle back perhaps.) It will be a story about how the very near future (just 20 years away) affects people and what is the definition of human. (OK, I just lost those who had trickled back. They've wandered away saying "Boring!")

I hope it won't be boring.

So... should I post the parts here?

have you read any of Marge Peircy's books? i'm thinking in particular of "He, She, and It".

Thanks :)

No, I haven't heard of her.
Wow! I just read the recommendations on Amazon. It sounds wonderful. I'm going to have to search it out. Unfortunately it looks like there's no electronic version (I prefer electronic books). I'll keep an eye out for a paper copy.

I'm very grateful for the suggestion.
