Date: 2006-07-10 12:36 pm (UTC)Yes, the soundtrack for Amelie would be nice. I'll keep an eye out for it. (Such a gruesome sounding saying, that.)

Date: 2006-07-10 12:46 pm (UTC)I kept shaking my head in amazement at many of the things that they manage to do: the near accident where the moped swerves from the car, losing one of its carrier bags... the shot where the camera moves down over the pond to see the stone Amelie throws skip across the water in the foreground... cats doing exactly what is required of them... etc...
Some of the special effects just blow my mind: Amelie turning to water when the guy leaves the shop -- oh my goodness! The simple over-exposure when the guy realises it is the repairman -- it made me laugh aloud in pure delight. The statue blinking. The photographs telling the guy about Amelie. The paintings on the wall talking about her.
Just... wow!!!

(I write it that way to lessen the flood of spam that pours into my email every day. Hopefully spammers' address harvesting bots aren't smart enough to see such addresses yet.)
I tend not to use chat software because in the past I've found it can easily gulp down hours and hours and hours, which means I don't get any work done. I'm so easily distracted (lazy) anyway and I'm such a chatterbox it is way too much temptation. I work at home so any distraction is magnified a thousandfold. :)
But if you ever really need to chat, send me an email and a time and I'll try to be there. I only have dialup though, so I check my mail only once or twice a day.
By the way I like your 'Gaia' pictures. What did you draw them in?
