I'm back online thru a new ISP

Apologies to people who I have fallen out of contact with over the last several days. The ISP that I normally dial into the net through (TPG) have been offline for almost a week. For the last year or so their service had been getting progressively worse and I'd been wanting to change ISPs for some time. Well, this finally did it. I have found another ISP that are fast and efficient. They are called Beagle http://beagle.com.au

At only $12.95 a month, unlimited dial-up, no contracts, they are brilliant. There is just one national phone number that is a local phone call from anywhere in Australia. This makes life so much easier.

Yay Beagle!

You need broadband. :)

:) Broadband would be nice, but aside from satellite broadband (which still uses the crappy phone lines for the uplink, there is no broadband out here in the country.

Also, not having broadband has a couple of advantages (I try to always see the silver lining):
- I spend less time on dialup
- it forces me to "stay real" as most people still don't have broadband and are not likely to in the near future. It means I am forced to see how badly designed are many websites out there, with massive, wasteful images and flash crap slowing them down.
- oh, and I probably can't afford broadband anyway. :)
