miriam_eOver the last year GetUp has achieved some real wins in battles against Australian politicians. It is a very flat organisation, consisting of just a few staff and 160,000 members. This is our great strength. It doesn't owe anything to any existing political parties or businesses. It simply gives the people a genuine voice.
Join. It doesn't cost you anything and you don't have to go to time-consuming rallies or meetings. You just need to make your voice heard when there is something you feel passionate about. GetUp makes this easy. For too long politicians have got away with doing terrible things because we, the people, have lives to live that make it difficult to be heard. No more.
