superstition
Wednesday, 11 February 2026 12:46 pmI know some people derive some kind of comfort in lying to themselves that there is a god, but I always thought a neurotic, insecure, needy god who demands constant praise, and who would impose utterly horrific punishment for the silliest infractions, is the opposite of comforting. I've never really understood why anybody would want it to exist, and I've always been grateful that it doesn't.

I understand why: comfort, purpose and structure.
Me, now, I call myself a satanist. But only because TST's tenants rawk, but because they exist to troll the far right. And don't actually believe in Satan.
