Wow! Just watched the movie "Proof" again. Superb piece of work. I'd forgotten how moving it was. There are not many movies about mathematicians, and even less about female mathematicians.

I agree; that was a fantastic (and grossly underrated) movie!

Yes. I loved how they let Gwyneth Paltrow do her stuff without pulling her hair into a bun and putting glasses on her like hollywood tends to. They let her just be a normal-looking person, while being awkward and self-conscious as the part called for. No makeup, unkempt hair, bags under her eyes, and unflattering toothy profiles... Gwyneth Paltrow must be very comfortable in who she is to be able to play that part so effectively.

By the way, Peaseblossom, you must look at the artform Ren'ai. Someone as talented as you could perform miracles with it.

About 60 freely downloadable ren'ai stories (they call them games, but they are really interactive stories):
http://www.renai.us/all.shtml

The free software, Ren'Py, that you use to make the stories:
http://renpy.org

You'll need to install python, the nicest computer language to come along in years (also free):
http://www.python.org

and pygame, a set of free libraries that extend python and which renpy depends on:
http://www.pygame.org

You need to install renpy, python, and pygame in order to make ren'ai stories yourself, but I'm not sure if you need them just to run the pre-built stories. My computers all have renpy, python, and pygame so I can't tell.
