Galaxy Magazine
Nov. 19th, 2006 01:50 amI have about a hundred Galaxy Science Fiction magazines that I loved to read when I was a kid, but they sit here nowadays hardly used anymore. Occasionally I sift through them and read the odd story, but many times I have remembered a story and wished there was some easy way to find it in that dense mass of paper.
Well, my obsessive side took hold today and I constructed an index of every Galaxy magazine ever published. I built it from the resources out there on the net, currently sitting on hundreds of pages. Now it is here, all on one text page:
I've uploaded it to GalaxySF-catalog.txt for your pleasure.
One day I'll get around to doing the same for IF, Fantasy&SF, Analog, Astounding, and the other odd SF mags I have. I'm amazed at how difficult it is to compile this info, even though it is relatively accessible. I assembled most of this from the Internet Speculative Fiction Database -- http://isfdb.org -- a wonderful resource!
