NaNoWriMo begins

The first part of my new story Selena City is here:
01-Lost (2,283 words).

It is set in the near future when sexual choice is not controversial. The main character is female and in love with a female, but the story is not about sexuality. The plot largely revolves around a crime, but it isn't a crime, or mystery, or detective story. It is mostly an optimistic story, but deals with a number of problems.

I can't read it all now, but it sounds really good from what I've seen!

Thanks. :) Hope you get time.

I'm having trouble with today's installment... but I'll get there.

I looked at it last night, I'll read along!

I've been wanting to do serial-type writing for some time. I don't have the artistry for webcomics, but I'd like to write something that I'd enjoy reading.

Although my skills really are in poetry...

Cool. :) Hope the story keeps people's interest.

Yeah, skills are one of the reasons I am doing NaNoWriMo. I'm not very good at long-form writing. I have always done short stories. They are an entirely different artform. NaNo is teaching me more about long-form writing than I ever thought I'd learn.
