Sad and angsty works too. It can be just as beautiful, sometimes.
I'm feeling a lot better. The rest home from school helped.
This is my NaNoWriMo journal. Don't expect brilliance--I write because I love it, not because I want to produce anything particularly good. =). And I don't edit as I write, so there's plenty wrong with it.
Ooooh! I can hardly wait to read it later today. I wish I could write like that, but I'm afraid I'm too obsessive. It slows me down terribly and feels sometimes like I'm writing in a straightjacket.
I do sometimes write just to produce good writing, and obsess over every word and way of phrasing things...but it isn't advantageous to my NaNo experience, I've found. Mainly I keep that for short stories and fanfiction, surprisingly. Poems too, of course--every word counts in poetry.

I'll be having some sad and angsty moments in the next several chapters, but I'll try to be balancing that with fairly optimistic stuff too. :)
Hope you are better soon.
And I'd love to read your story sometime too, if I could.
