Mali R.I.P.

Found my little dog.
Dead in the creek.
Should have searched that much further the first day. Dammit! I'm an imbecile.

Poor little Marls.

I'm uplifted by all you wonderful people. Thank you.

I was wallowing in misery and remorse (I love that little dog sooo much), but friends and family, and even acquaintances at the charity where I volunteer, have all been really nice, and weirdly, it somehow makes a difference... don't ask me how, but it does. I still beat myself up about her death (even though, logically, I doubt there would have been any chance of saving her), but much of the anguish is starting to dissipate.

It all makes me feel horrified for the poor souls who lose a child. That would be hell.

I'm so sorry

I don't know if you'll find it as comforting as we did when our little dog died: http://www.petloss.com/poems/maingrp/rainbowb.htm
