No, it was just me grumbling about how the WWWC takes 10 years (2004-2014) to define HTML5 and how it is unlikely many of the consortium member companies will follow the standard properly anyway. Already, "conforming" browsers have only spotty support for the most trumpetted aspects -- inbuilt sound and video. Microsoft has always been one of the worst, sabotaging standards constantly.
The other part of my gripe was to do with how the standards concentrate so much on pretty layout, which was what HTML originally was intended to avoid, yet still, after 20 years, doesn't have solutions to commonly needed tags (such as a picture caption tag, and a TAB tag). I was wondering aloud in the post how the WWWC can justify its existence.
Basically it was a big moan. Even the one positive part of the post was a moan: I applauded the approach of the end for Adobe's disgusting, buggy, bloated Flash plugin. Starting this year Android handhelds will no longer use it.
I deleted the post because I had promised myself that I'd be more upbeat. I've been a bit negative lately and I want to write a comedy (well, a story with hopefully humorous aspects) for NaNoWriMo this year, so I'm trying to avoid the dark and move toward the light. :)
Hmmm... my reply is me moaning about me moaning... do two negatives make a worse negative in this case? Or do they cancel? :)

Regardless.... if there are valid points it can take time to frame them.
