Well, I'm finally online again after various assorted problems, including my main computer dying!

It took me more than half an hour tonight to download my email -- 802 messages!! most of which were spam... grrrr!

Seems to be some problem with my email -- I can't send. I'll get it sorted out tomorrow or Monday.

This place I've moved into is wonderful. I can only see one other house in the valley from this property. There are a few other houses in the valley but they are over other hills kms in each direction. Today I stood entranced while a wallaby grazed about a dozen steps from me just outside the house. I wake each morning to a veritable chorus of birds, including kookaburras, which I didn't realise lived here. The other day I threw out some waste food and a bearded lizard (about 18 inches long) came out of the garden to investigate. I haven't seen one of those since I was a kid and used to catch, draw, and release them and snakes. I believe there are a lot of snakes here, but have only seen one rather large (dangerous-looking) one so far. Apparently there is a cute carpet python living here too. I'm hoping to see it -- it will help keep any adventurous rodents under control. I had forgotten how many insects and spiders live in the country (I grew up in the bush and am not squeamish about them). Oh, and there is the sweetest-looking enormous green tree frog living in the toilet cistern.

*big sigh of contentment*

I love berdies! *wimpers* they are so cute, we sell them as pets at the pet stores here... they are THE best pet a child can have, they are friendly, loyal loving, dont get any deseases that can be given to humans, cats, dogs and most other random usual house pets... they are clean, they dont have a difficult diet, they ad BEAUTIFUL, and as infants they are the cutest littel thing :) and... they WAVE! it is SO cute... some peopel think tha tis how we got the moddern wave... it the aboriganies(sp) saw teh beardies waving at eachother adn picked it up...if that is how it happened, that is kinda interesting... but either way they are one of my favourite animals.... (so unhappy i didnt end up seeing one when i was there, but then again didnt expect to, melbourne is not the climet for them especially in winter....) oh and one more thing i like about beardies.. they are curious... you let htem be in your house and htey will be like ferritss... they go steel shiney stuff.... or get into drawers... :) okay I realied I just rambeld abotu a page worth on beardies.... so i think I am going to shut up now before i am considered too wierd... *hugs* glad you like yoru new place!

They are definitely cute. :)
Gosh, I didn't know about the wave. I have always had a bit of a soft spot for beardies, but I think my favorite lizards are the geckos. Now that is what I call .

You gotta come and visit if you make it back to the shores of Oz. It is just beautiful here! There is so much of Australia you didn't get to see, and this would help remedy that. There is an extra room here for you anytime (except December when Julie is here... but you definitely wouldn't want to be here in the summer anyway).

Hope you are well, possum.
