Seems that Microsoft, long an upholder of gay and lesbian rights has caved to the loony right wingers and is withdrawing that support.

Important to go Linux now, more than ever.

Nationwide boycott? Who're they kidding? They thought a bunch of born-agains were going to learn Unix?

Yeah, not wanting to sound all paranoid and conspiracy theorist, but it does sound a bit like something deeper is going on. A few thousand stupid hymn-singers wouldn't ordinarily upset Microsoft. Remember, MS elected to pay the fines rather than stop their campaign to cripple java. That pissed off enormous numbers of programmers and cost MS millions of dollars, but MS shrugged it off like it was nothing.

It makes me wonder if the morally bankrupt Bush government has threatened Microsoft with something a bit stronger... like losing major government contracts for instance.
