I drove my car over my Palm after it fell unseen out of my pocket.

Date: 2005-09-19 10:48 pm (UTC)There is a bright side to everything no matter how terrible. Destroying my Palm has cast me adrift in time again and feels quite scary, but the cartoony image of me somehow running over my own hand cracked me up. :)
I should explain that "lost in time" thing.
All my life I have had an inability to see or plan time. I have great difficulty remembering appointments, or getting a perspective on recent events. It is like being permanently lost. When I got my first Palm all that suddenly changed. It was like getting hearing aids or glasses -- all the things I intellectually knew were there could suddenly be seen and manipulated. It was wonderful, and I had become very used to not having to worry about it anymore. Now I am suddenly back in that pea-soup fog and can't see anything once again. I hope I can earn enough money to get a Palm again soon.

Date: 2005-09-20 01:09 am (UTC)I gave my old Palm to my sister (everybody in my family has the same time-blindness). I don't think she really uses it though, so I might see if I can get it back for a while.
