Date: 2005-09-20 02:25 am (UTC)That's very appropriate, considering that I see my Palm as an extra lobe of my brain.
I saw a mate's after it jumped out if his pannier, danced on the spokes of his bike and then bounced/skidded on the road. The screen was cracked and black and the case scratched/dented. He attached it to the wall of his study like a memorial plaque. ;)
Fortunately, when he got a replacement and synched it with his computer, all his data was there.
Good luck with yours! :)

Date: 2005-09-20 10:33 pm (UTC)I was going to pull mine apart and peek at its innards (I love pulling machines apart). If I can get a new screen for it I just might be able to persuade it to work.
I've been waiting for someone to say something about how paper doesn't die when run over by a car so that I can point out that I can easily transfer all the data to another machine as I have it all backed up on a few desktop computers, like your friend did. You can't do that when you lose paper data to fire or water or theft.
I probably won't buy a replacement Palm till the new Linux-based ones come out... soon... [salivate, drool]
