Very interesting page with a number of surprising results, and some humorous ones (InternetExplorer gets slower with each insecure, non-compliant release).

He covers a selection of browsers from Linux, Mac, and Windows.
Unfortunately he doesn't test any of the really "old" browsers like Mosaic or Lynx, but you can't have everything.

He's done Lynx in the supplementary section at the end.

Oops. Thanks. :)
That'll teach me not to be in a rush. I read the "To summarise" section, got to the disclaimer and left. Unusual. I'm normally one of those people who watches films to the very last credit.

I was using Lynx just the other day. I've got a version that runs under rxvt in Cygwin, which surprised me.

But what astonished me was the figures for Amaya. Somebody uses Amaya for Web browsing? Are they insane?

I use Lynx quite a lot to test pages to see how bad they look after I've done constructing them. It can be a real eye-opener sometimes. It is one of the reasons I rarely use CSS.
