A picture has been sent back by NASA's Cassini spacecraft of a planet that has life. This is the only one that has ever been found.

See in the image, the enlargement of a section of sky near Saturn's rings? Note the faint blue dot in the center? The tell-tale blue color is evidence of chemicals that sustain life.

There are teams of astronomers trying to find more planets out there with life on them. So far only this one is the only one known. It is, of course, our Earth.

It really puts things like flamewars and power struggles into perspective, huh!

It also makes one think about how important it is to take care of it, because that Pale Blue Dot is all we got.

That's just...wow.

That tiny little dot in all that space...

I wish the picture showed more of the surrounding space to give even more impact to it. Like this one below, which is a fake I made from the original as an example.
