I hate moving house!!!

...but it has to be done.

Moving to Box Hill. Going to be harder to get around way over there, but on the plus side I know quite a few people in the area.

Organised so far:

• my phone cancelled and new connection arranged at the new place
• have cancelled my cable internet account with Optus (being disconnected tomorrow). That will save me $64 a month -- a lot of money at the moment. They were starting to piss me off anyway. They recently changed their rules so that basically there was little advantage to having a cable connection anyway (strange that they would want to negate their technological advantage -- I wonder if it's a stupid attempt to stop people downloading music and video). Also they sent me a rude, unwarranted email. There have been various other stuff-ups from them too.
• gas connected at the new place
• electricity connected at the new place
• paid bond and month's rent in advance
• truck booked
• most of my stuff packed
• fixed web pages so that they don't get broken when cable service terminates
• saving some of the files from my second PC onto CD so that I still have access to them. (I am lending that PC to someone.)

Have a lot more packing yet to do -- 50 boxes of books packed and still not finished! Thank heavens I have hardly any furniture or clothes. The only other hassle will be all the computers (many of which I should really discard because they are basically antique).

The big move is on Monday and Tuesday. I am gonna be totally fucked on Wednesday! Unfortunately I have a meeting on Wednesday morning too. Bleagh!
