part 6 Gardens (2600 words)
Yesterday I scrapped what I'd written because I just couldn't get it to work. After a long talk with my wonderful, smart niece, Lois, I realised I had to use something that I'd originally planned for later in the story. I think it works fairly well, and am pretty happy with it.
