The latest part of my Selena City story about Adele, a lesbian in a near future where sexuality is not an issue.

part 14 Proof (1362 words)

Cool. A second chapter in the same day. That makes a more healthy word count.

Let me know what you think of this.

Yep, [livejournal.com profile] gothxxangel is also on LJ, and often comments here. She is a real sweetie and is in Japan. I love her stories.

[livejournal.com profile] cranky__crocus has made a special LJ account for her NaNo novel -- [livejournal.com profile] horned_fate. She's amazing. I can hardly believe how much talent is in someone her age. I'm very slack about visiting people's pages (mostly because I'm too good at procrastinating, and visiting people's pages is far too easy a way to lose vast stretches of time). Anyway for a long time all I read of hers were her comments here and in another community. Normally I think I'm very good at estimating people's age from their writing, but I was shocked when I found I'd got her age completely wrong -- she seemed decades beyond her physical age.

Thanks. :) You probably do have dreams like that. Our mind is designed to forget dreams because they interfere with normal waking life, but you can train yourself to remember them. There is a very short window of opportunity as you emerge from the dream, before it gets deleted, where you can write it down if you hurry. I always used to keep paper and pencil by my bed. Nowadays I keep a handheld computer. As soon as I wake I try to jot down what I was dreaming. Often the ones you wake from in the middle of the night are best, but they're also the hardest to force yourself to record. Sometimes you can hang at the edge of the dream, not awake and not fully immersed in the dream where you can transfer much of the dream to longer term memory before you wake up. It isn't easy, but practice helps. I find I get some really cool ideas from dreams. Mostly they're just fragments, but occasionally, rarely, they're surprisingly long, complex sequences of experiences.

Thanks for the nice wishes. :)

Write the bad ones down too. It's all grist to the mill. :)

I don't know if gothxxangel keeps hers online anymore, but if you ask I'm sure she'll share.
