NaNoWriMo soon

I'm going to try again this year.
Anybody else going to have a shot at it?
The story I'm trying to map out will present a whole slew of difficulties, but it is one I'd really like to tell. This means that even if I don't finish it in the month I think I'll keep on with it. I hope I can manage it.

Date: 2009-10-14 10:36 pm (UTC)We'll be in it together. :D For the first time ever I've got a lot of pre-NaNo work to do first. Gotta ask people what they remember and also go through journals finding memories I want to include and rack my brain. Thankfully I can write down what I remember and then if anyone mentions anything later in life and I remember it clearly enough I can still write it down.
This will be a purely selfish endeavour. I want to remember this stuff when I'm older and my memory is wont to forget it.

Date: 2009-10-14 11:10 pm (UTC)I tried once about 5 years back, this November I should be able to devote some time to it.
I also have an Idea :)

I've seen people (admittedly far more talented than I am) who simply wing it. Often their results are very cool. I am too much of a chicken for that. I need multiple layers of safety nets... and still my results are not great... though I think I'm gradually getting better.
