Holy cow! I just saw Kick-Ass. Omigod! What a movie! I was shaking by the end, adrenalin and endorphins streaming through my veins.

Nothing, absolutely nothing about this movie is normal. When you see the movie, and you must!, don't go with any expectations at all. Don't expect it to be good, though it is; don't expect it to be violent, though it is; don't expect it to be funny, though it is; don't expect it to be a parody, though it is; don't expect it to be dramatic, though it is. Just walk in and be open to your preconceptions being turned upside down and your nerves rattled.

Wow!

I'm doing brilliantly. Allergy season here, but that's life in north Alabama. Some people say next time they're going to get a pollen colored car.

The article I read is that they're thinking of fining people in Queensland for public swearing, public urination, and other stuff, and they expect to make thousands from it.

Mistry's work looks amazing. Way back in the mists of time Chris Crawford came to Tulsa Computer Society, and I asked him if they were thinking about new I/O devices at Atari. I was disappointed that he'd said no, and I've seen all the demos of head trackers and eye trackers the Air Force and NASA were working on, and they were never quite right. Even touchscreens weren't quite ready for prime time. Between Sixth Sense and the Wii and the iPad, they've turned my question upside down and reached in behind it and now I realize how limited that question was. An age of miracles and wonders indeed.

Fortunately what we find when we walk through the technology is ideas and other people.

I ran into Linda Branagan and Cindy Reed on facebook. Cindy works as an IT geek at a public school in Orange County and plays upright bass in a rockabilly band.

It's really good to talk to you, dear friend.
