Christopher Hitchens dies at age 62... and Peter Seih too :(
Friday, 16 December 2011 07:15 pmDamn! Damn! Damn!
Cancer of the oesophagus got him. It is a disease of heavy smoker/drinkers which he definitely was.

He was a thought-provoking thinker and eloquent speaker. He will be sorely missed, though I suspect not by his religious opponents.
Seems to be the time for death just now. I'm still feeling shocked by the death of Peter Seih -- friend and much-loved member of our extended family... a wonderful guy who I don't think had an enemy in the world... a sweet, sweet man who had a smile for everybody always. How terribly sad to think that he is gone.

Date: 2011-12-16 01:21 pm (UTC)I'm sorry.
2011 seems to have been a year bringing the icons of my era low.\
I'm sure, in his own sphere, he was an icon too.
