Awk and pop-up microfrabrication
Jun. 18th, 2012 04:18 pmWhile brushing up on some Awk programming that I needed to do for a small project I found a fascinating website and blog by a guy named Greg Goebel.
The website (http://www.vectorsite.net) has informative articles on various science and technology-related subjects. That's where I found the piece about Awk programming.
On his blog at http://www.dayvectors.net/index.html#m1 he relates the strange, but very cool, efforts to build tiny machines using the same technology that pop-up books use. Truly marvellous stuff.
He also has what appears to be an aircraft encyclopedia of sorts. I haven't really looked at that, but it is at http://www.airvectors.net
