A new short story: "gone"

miriam_eI've just finished another short story, "gone", and uploaded it to my website.

It's science fiction, like most of my work, of course, but I experiment with something a bit different in this story. If I've done it properly you won't really notice.
The story idea came to me when I listened to a piece by the musician Epoch Collapse: "Prelude to the Morphing of the Night After" (I've linked to it at the top of the story).
I would greatly appreciate any feedback here or via the comment link at the end of the story.
