Topp Twins

Anybody watch the Topp Twins? I'm waiting for them to come on the TV now (channel 2, 11:30pm Friday nights). It is a great chuckle. I didn't quite know what to make of them the first time I watched, but I have come to adore the show. These 2 girls from New Zealand play several parts in each episode. The stories are wonderful, wacky and totally unlike anything I've ever seen before.

Oh, and they sing beautifully too.

When I was theatre teching a long time ago, I did a Melbourne Comedy Festival gig that included the Topp Twins. They're good people - very considerate, very funny, all-round fabulous. I was living with a Kiwi at the time, and apparently they were really big in NZ - and I presume still are.

And yeah, very funny comedy, and great singing.
