I don't know if anybody else here has been following the BBC series Spooks. It is much better than the usual TV fare, and not at all like I expected. I'd half thought it was going to be a series glorifying spies and secret police, but in fact it is much harder to pin down with very strong, stirring writing, acting and production.

Last Friday's episode titled "I Spy Apocalypse" was exceptional. Set in pretty-much a single room, it was one of the most tense, scary pieces of psychodrama I have ever seen.

If this ever comes around again YOU ABSOLUTELY MUST SEE IT!

Do you watch CSI? Or CSI Miami? I lurve them so much...and sometimes Criminal Intent can be good. But CSI/Miami is better because they're all scientific and like if a gun shoots a bullet it will like go inside the gun as it triggers and you see all the stuff that makes a gun fire. And lots more, and I also know that I'm not very good at explaining...=)

Yep, although I don't always catch it.

I actually prefer the original CSI to the new one... seems lower key somehow, and I like that... the investigators seem to quietly ferret out the facts. The Miami one is more action-oriented and dynamic, which doesn't appeal to me as much. But I've only watched a couple of episodes so I can't really tell yet.

I love that they are science geek heros. That is how it should be.
