I waited with bated breath for The Lone Gunmen last night, wondering if I would see something as scary as X-Files at its best, or just a trashy spinoff. I was delighted to find that it was neither. The Lone Gunmen was hilarious! I howled with laughter. It was wonderful! It was X-Files humor at its absurd best. I am rapt that I caught it.

Unfortunately, the inept, totally clueless channel 7 programmers have done their usual trick of screening the second episode so that we have come in on some unexplained previous history. Maybe they will screen the pilot one day, maybe not. Sadly only 13 episodes were made. (A plague upon TV and network executives!!)

In order to see all of these I might have to download them (they aren't available on DVD). Bummer...

I wonder if that is what the pilot episode is about (I didn't read the epguide for that because of my aversion to spoilers). If so, that would explain the lack of pilot screening.

If there's a critical mass, I suggest a public viewing (mostly because I'm now barely a suburb away... :) ) I'd dearly love to see it - as lunadaze said, I had no idea.
