miriam_eMy apologies to all those I am supposed to have communicated with over the last few weeks. I'm still unpacking all my stuff. Julie will be here in a couple of days so I need to get it finished very soon. (She owns the house.)
It is amazing how many books I have. In unpacking all this and sorting through it I am continually filled with wonder at how much I have read. But can somebody tell me how a person who has consumed this much information can be so incredibly stupid?
This countryside continues to astound me with its beauty, but I am becoming deathly tired so much of the time... I will be glad when I am settled in and can just give myself over to it.

Date: 2003-12-02 01:14 pm (UTC)I really don't think stupid applies in this instance. More like still learning. You are one person I would not apply stupid to. There is still tons of stuff out there to learn and I for one will never soak it all up but I still keep right on reading and find new stuff all the time. I call it filing my noggin with bits of mostly useless information. things nice to know when one is working on cross word puzzles. It is the dangdest thing to know the answer but be unable to spell it correctly. Makes for a frustrating time. As it happens I have been going thu my books and trying to decide which ones I ought to get rid of. I do so hate to part with any of them...sigh...Bun wanted to make the Nat. Geo's. go away But i did have a fit and fell into it over that. I got to keep them :-).
The house stuff goes well. The bathroom is re tiled YEA! and the laundry room is nearing completion. I really have to work on the icky ole plumbing that runs to the city sewer system. That means lots and lots of digging and other really FUN stuff. The house painter is supposed to put in his appearance in Jan. When all thats done Hmmmm time for vacation...
