His important new book Free Culture can be bought as a paper book or downloaded for free under the Creative Commons License. But it goes further than that -- it is also available as freely downloadable or streamable audio.

He is worried about the increasingly tight grip on culture that big business has and he gives reasons why it is short-sightedly likely to damage exactly that which is being "protected". The damage being caused now will have disastrous long-term consequences that may be very difficult to undo. By giving in to the short-term greed and fear propagated via excessive Intellectual Property Rights we are weakening our culture, our society, and our economy.
