Dammit! I've done what I always do. :(

I have the basic idea behind the story, the main character mapped out, the ending, and now the beginning. I have a little of the middle, but it is scary that I haven't any real way to connect the dots. Damn! Why do I always do it this way?

I hope I can make this work. If I pull it off this could be a half good story. I guess I'm banking on the characters doing most of the writing, like they have done from time to time in the past.

Now I get to spend the day sweating over the broad story. [gulp] Unfortunately today's the day I volunteer at the charity shop. Hmmm... I wonder if they'd mind if I begged off... I'm actually under no obligation to go, and they recently got an additional helper for Wednesdays.

Aha! I think I figured it out. Once a reply is written to a comment then one can't edit it but before that it should be doable. That's my guess anyway as to how it works.

Interesting... I can't see one on yours (that's to be expected -- it's yours not mine).
I'll see what happens to this one...

Nope. Well, that's weird.
Maybe it is because I'm not a paying customer at the moment. (I only pay for my LJ account when I have the spare money, and it's been pretty tight lately.)

Yep, that's it.

The FAQ says:
You can edit a comment if all of the following are true:
  • You posted the comment yourself, and your account is a Paid or Permanent account at the time you want to edit the comment. (You need to be logged in as the author of the comment.)
  • The comment has never been replied to.
  • The comment or its parent thread has not been frozen.
Edit a comment by clicking the pencil icon. A comment that has been edited will include information on when it was last edited; this information may not appear if your journal theme isn't set to show it. You lose the ability to edit your comment when someone replies to it, even when that person deletes their response.
