eek! screnzy (Script Frenzy) starts tomorrow!
Wednesday, 31 March 2010 08:41 amDammit! I've done what I always do. :(
I have the basic idea behind the story, the main character mapped out, the ending, and now the beginning. I have a little of the middle, but it is scary that I haven't any real way to connect the dots. Damn! Why do I always do it this way?
I hope I can make this work. If I pull it off this could be a half good story. I guess I'm banking on the characters doing most of the writing, like they have done from time to time in the past.
Now I get to spend the day sweating over the broad story. [gulp] Unfortunately today's the day I volunteer at the charity shop. Hmmm... I wonder if they'd mind if I begged off... I'm actually under no obligation to go, and they recently got an additional helper for Wednesdays.

Date: 2010-03-31 06:37 am (UTC)I love working a day each week at that shop. The people are fantastic. I's lucky I did go today. There was a long stretch where I was the only one there, as one of the ladies didn't come in and the other two had emergencies at home that called them away for large parts of the day.

Date: 2010-03-31 06:43 am (UTC)Unfortunately my success rate is just 2 finished stories out of 5 NaNoWriMos... and those two I completed were pretty extensively mapped out beforehand. Still, I have to say this feels like a good idea, and I'm hoping I can work it up into a good story, even if it doesn't go the full 100 pages.
Just getting it written will be enough reward for me... which is kinda lucky, because at the moment it feels like it may only fill out about 25 pages. But I'll take whatever I can get. It's all part of the learning curve. :)

Date: 2010-04-02 07:25 am (UTC)I thought it was impossible to edit them. I always resort to copying, reposting a new version, and deleting the other. It would be so much easier to just edit it.

Date: 2010-04-02 09:14 am (UTC)Maybe it is because I'm not a paying customer at the moment. (I only pay for my LJ account when I have the spare money, and it's been pretty tight lately.)
